Frames Data IDA - So What's The Big Deal?

Written by Tom Doyle | November 30, 2015 at 10:00 AM

You've probably heard that Frames Data has a new subscription product called Frames Data IDA.  So why have yet another option to choose from?

What's the big deal?

Frames Data IDA is a cloud-based integration that allows you to load the latest, most accurate frame information right into your practice management software, over the internet. No waiting for a disc to arrive!

And because we update Frames Data every day, you can access new and updated frames immediately (thus the name IDA, which stands for Immediate Data Access).

And with these newer integrations, we work hand-in-hand with the software developers to ensure that the updating process is seamless, simple and straightforward.

Great! But what exactly is the big deal? Two words: Automated. Updates.

Many older integrations do not provide automated updates to your existing inventory. So when a major frame company does a complete price adjustment to all of their frames, you have to make those updates, one by one, by hand - a.k.a. time-consuming manual labor!  And you probably don't even have a way to know what has changed.

Not so with Frames Data IDA. We require new integrations to enable automated updates of frame information, so that you don't have to make changes by hand!

You may have to click an "update" button, depending on how your software has designed the process, but you will be able to accept changes directly to your inventory.

So yes, that is a big deal.  In fact, we think it's a GIANT deal.

As a result you cut the time you spend updating your inventory dramatically!

And even better, your data is more accurate than was ever possible thanks to the automated updating. It's a win-win for you and your business.

UPDATE 4/10/2017:  Frames Data IDA works exclusively with the software programs below, but several more are in development, with some new launches to be announced in coming weeks!

Not using one of these? Contact your provider and ask them to integrate with Frames Data IDA.
