How to load SPEX UPC On Demand into Crystal PM

Do you use SPEX UPC with Crystal PM? If so, you can download SPEX UPC On Demand from Frames Data Online, with an active subscription, to load directly into Crystal PM. Not only is the downloadable version available earlier than the disc, it also contains more up-to-date data than the CD.

Follow these 6 Steps to load SPEX UPC On Demand into Crystal PM:

1. Login to Frames Data Online and then click the Download Now button to go to the Download Center

2. Once the file is downloaded, browse to the file UPCMM01YY.zip then RIGHT-CLICK the file and select EXTRACT ALL

3. When the extract window appears click Extract. This will create a new folder named UPCMM01YY in the same folder you downloaded the file to.

4. Open Crystal PM and navigate to the Import Frame SPEX UPC CD window. (Configuration --> Import SPEX UPC CD)

5. Click on the “Browse” link next to the Import Data button. If you don’t seen the Browse link, double click on the period (.)* When the browse dialogue opens navigate to the extracted folder UPCMM01YY. You will most likely have to open that folder and select the folder inside that has the same name.

Crystal PM

*Older versions of Crystal PM require you to click on the period to make the Browse button appear.

6. Once you have selected the folder UPCMM01YY inside the UPCMM01YY folder select Import Data.

7. The SPEX UPC import process will now begin.

Congratulations! You have now successfully loaded Frames Data SPEX UPC On Demand into Crystal PM.
