Introducing the Custom Link Builder and Colorway-Based Galleries

We are pleased to announce our Fall 2023 My Frame Gallery release, which includes a "Custom Link Builder", a feature that gives subscribers the ability to create a link to all the frames on their galleries that have specific attributes. These links can be sent to a patient or used in a promotion. Also included in the new release are "Colorway-based Galleries".

Custom Link Builder

The new custom link builder will help to customize the patient journey and increase interaction and patient satisfaction.  This special tool will enable opticians to create a specific curated gallery of frames, either for a specific patient, or a group of patients.

Custom links can be sent to a patient before the visit to help narrow down selections with suggestions from opticians, or after the visit to encourage second pair sales or show new products that are a good match for a patient's requirements.

Add a Gallery to your practice website and stay competitive

For example, if they have a patient that wants to see red, plastic, cat-eye sunwear in a medium size before their appointment, they can now send that patient a custom link that will display only those specific frames on their Gallery. Patients will get to a final purchase decision faster, saving the optician's time, while also delivering service to patients that is highly personalized and feels "VIP".

Additionally, these links can be used in promotional vehicles, which allows for more flexibility in marketing efforts since it presents a specific grouping of eyewear for different types of promotions. For example, if a practice is promoting Brand X sunwear, but not ophthalmic, a custom link can be created that points to only Brand X sunwear, excluding all other brands and all non-sun frames.

The link builder will be in the settings menu behind the login at www.framedata.com, and will use all the existing filters to build the custom link. Frequently used links can be saved in the interface as well for additional time savings.

Colorway-Based Gallery

Instead of showing all colors for a style on your Gallery, you will now be able to display only the colorways that you carry in store if desired.

While many My Frame Gallery practices prefer to display all frames in the brands that they carry (knowing that if needed they could either acquire those frames, or come up with similar models to offer their patients), many others prefer to only show frames they actively carry.

To that end, Frames Data will now offer the ability to have a colorway-based Gallery, which will allow users to match their inventory down to the actual configuration..

In plainer English, if the practice has in stock a given frame model in black and gray, but not red, their Gallery can now display only the black and gray versions, and omit the red. The colorway-based Gallery relies on the practice having the correct UPC codes attached to each configuration they wish to display.
